One-to-one, fifty minutes, GST inclusive.
No enrolment fee, no term lock-in, no resource levy. The rate is the rate.

- Specific instruction on the texts and concepts being studied at school
- Building an argument that answers the question asked

- Critical writing individualised to student needs
- HSC content across Standard, Advanced and Extension I & II
- Responding to stimulus, unseen texts and module-specific demands
Rates are per 50-minute one-to-one session and include GST. The Years 3–9 rate applies from Year 3 upward; the program content described is aimed at Years 5–9.
What is included
Beyond the session itself
Every student, regardless of stage, gets the same supporting structure.
Initial consultation
Past work and results reviewed, a short assessment, and a personalised learning plan — before the first paid session.
Progress reports every five weeks
Reading improvement, skills learnt, and the student’s own reflection on their learning.
A shared resource folder
Notes and materials from each session, so you can see what was covered.
A weekly reading routine
Three fifteen-minute reads with a worksheet, marked by the tutor with feedback given in session.
The details
Cancellation and rescheduling
Set out plainly, so there are no surprises. We keep a waiting list, which is why notice periods matter.
- Rescheduling
- At least one week’s notice is required to reschedule sessions for school camps, holidays or similar commitments.
- Illness
- Please notify your tutor at least 24 hours in advance where possible. Last-minute illnesses are still charged, but one makeup session per term is offered.
- Makeup sessions
- One makeup session per term for sessions missed through illness or unforeseen circumstances. Further missed sessions are charged at the normal rate.
- Sessions online
- If your child cannot attend in person, the session moves to Google Meet rather than being cancelled.
- Late arrivals
- The tutor waits up to 30 minutes. After that the session is considered complete and charged in full; no time is added on.
- No-shows
- A scheduled session missed without notice is charged at the standard rate, and no makeup session is provided.
- Unenrolling
- Three weeks’ notice in writing, so the place can be offered to another student on the waiting list.
